The latest album from Mandolin Orange will be available on August 20. Yep Roc will release This Side Of Jordan, the third recording from the North Carolina based duo of Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz. Today we premiere “The Runaround” from the forthcoming record. The song can be heard here

Marlin explains that “The Runaround” is about hardship in his North Carolina hometown, the site of an abandoned tobacco mill: “Like many other southern towns, there hasn’t been much of an economy since those mills and farms were bought out or closed. The Runaround is about those changes in contrast with finding one constant – a person you love.”

Mandolin Orange will tour in support of the recording, starting in August, with the dates appearing below.
