Raekwon, GZA and Ghostface Killah to Celebrate 30 Years of ‘Only Built For Cuban Links’ and ‘Liquid Swords’ with Northeast Tour

1995 was a critical year for the Wu-Tang Clan. Just three years after forming and two years after the explosive, groundbreaking group debut Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), the legendary Staten Island, N.Y. hip-hop outfit dropped three of their most crucial albums–and three of the greatest rap projects of of all time: Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version, Raekwon’s Only Built For Cuban Links (heavily featuring Ghostface Killah) and GZA’s Liquid Swords. This December, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of these landmark projects, Toney Starks, The Chef and The Genius will celebrate the latter two releases with three Northeast shows.

As three of the central torchbearers for the legendary Wu-Tang Clan, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon and GZA regularly revisit the golden age of their squad’s catalog, notably including the recent Only Built 4 Cuban Linx tribute performances Raekwon staged with RZA and the Colorado Symphony Orchestra in February. The newly announced dates, though, mark the first time these iconic projects have been taken on tour by the trio, as well as the first tour involving the three rappers since Wu-Tang’s 2023 NY State of Mind Tour with Nas.

The trio will set off its December run with a performance at Philadelphia’s Franklin Music Hall on Dec. 5, then return home to New York for a Dec. 6 show at Terminal 5 before wrapping the run at Boston’s House of Blues on Dec. 7. Tickets for the Philadelphia and New York shows will go on sale this Friday, Sept. 27, and are available for pre-sale now. Tickets for the Boston show are already live.
