On Thursday and Friday, Wyclef Jean joined Robert Glasper during his month-long Robtober residency at New York’s famed Blue Note. The performance, which was dubbed Q Theory and focused on the Rara Jazz style Jena explores on his improv-heavy new Q Theory releases, was a change of pace for the beloved stand. Usually, Glasper brings in guest musicians to join his regular stable of players or puts together special combos throughout the multi-week stand. This time, Glasper saw Jean preform with his band at the Blue Note in Los Angeles and decided to bring the entire group out to New York and join them during their show. Photographer Dino Perrucci has been on hand for the residency and captured highlights from the Q Theory gigs.
