On Tuesday, April 23, comedian Drew Carey sparked attention on Twitter/ X, breaking his social media silence after seeing Phish at The Sphere in Las Vegas. The Price Is Right host started his comment, “I swear I just talked to God.” Continuing, “I would give you all my money, stick my dick in a blender and swear off pussy for the rest of my life in exchange for this.” 

Carey’s initial praise of the Vermont foursome’s live show at the state-of-the-art Sin City venue continued, “Bro I met God tonight for real. I feel like I just got saved by Jesus no lie.” Days later, the revered jamband sent the actor/gameshow host, well, a blender, with a message from frontman Trey Anastasio, who penned on the boxed kitchen appliance, “So thrilled you could be at The Sphere with us! Hope you enjoy this gift and let’s do it again.” 

Unfortunately for Carey and other fans of the band, there is no sign of Phish returning to The Sphere anytime soon. Instead, the group of musicians will take some time before commencing their summer tour, which is slated to begin with three nights, July 19 through 21, at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Mass.
