The Patti Smith Band, Bernard Sumner, Gogol Bordello and More to Participate in 36th Annual Tibet House Benefit

On March 1, the 36th annual Tibet House U.S. Benefit Concert will return to New York’s Carnegie Hall. Today, the folks behind the single-night charitable event have delivered the artist lineup for the impending occurrence.

Esteemed composer and artistic director, Philip Glass has once again curated the lineup of artists slated to take the fabled Big Apple stage. Allison Russell, New Order’s Bernard Sumner, Laurie Anderson, Gogol Bordello, Marc Anthony Thompson of Chocolate Genius, Inc., Zsela, The Philip Glass Ensemble, Tenzin Choegyal, Scorchio Quartet, The Patti Smith Band and others have signed on to perform.

The 2023 iteration is the first in-person concert in two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The philanthropic evening will also include Uma Thurman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard and Arden Wohl, all of whom will serve as the evening’s honorary chairs.

As is tradition, proceeds generated from the 36th annual benefit will go toward the Tibet House, a non-profit educational institution and cultural embassy founded in 1987 by the Dalai Lama to ensure the survival of the Tibetan civilization.

Tickets for the concert are on sale now and can be purchased here.
