The “Godmother of Soul,” also known as Patti LaBelle, was whisked off stage during her sold-out holiday performance on Dec. 10 at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, Wis., after authorities evacuated the venue over concerns about a potential bomb threat.

The 78-year-old singer was four songs into her midwest concert when security arrived on the stage and quickly removed the legendary artist from the vicinity. In a fan-shot video shown below, LaBelle proclaims “Hold up! Wait!” as authorities physically escort the musician out of view.

Shortly after, the 2,450-seat theater was emptied. The Pabst Theater Group, which organized the concert, Tweeted in response to the situation: “Tonight’s Patti LaBelle show at the Riverside Theater has been postponed following a bomb threat investigated by the Milwaukee Police Department. We are thankful for the efforts of the Milwaukee Police Department and our customers and staff for their safe and orderly exit.”

On Sunday morning, the police department and K9 unit were on the grounds and investigating the situation. At this time, no arrests in connection to the bomb threat have been made. Moreover, the organizers behind the event are working to reschedule the program.
