NYC’s SummerStage Announces Additional Free Central Park Shows: Yo La Tengo, Valerie June and More

NYC’s SummerStage is in full swing this year, already hosting the likes of Wynton Marsalis and George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic at the city’s beloved Central Park.
Today, however, organizers have announced that SummerStage has added additional free performances for music fans, including Yo La Tengo on Sept. 1 and Valerie June on Sept. 12.
Previously announced paid performances at SummerStage include Galactic with Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph and MonoNeon (July 11), Lake Street Dive (Aug. 24), Indigo Girls & Ani DiFranco (Sept. 21) and many more.
SummerStage has also shared an update regarding ticketing, telling fans that reservations are no longer required for free shows, and fans will be granted entry on a first come, first served basis.
