Widespread Panic’s Dave Schools is the author of today’s New York Times Frequent Flier piece (a regular feature in which various regular travelers describe their airplane experiences). Entitled “Wearing Waist-Length Hair, and a Sense of Humor,” the piece begins with the admission, “I’m a bass player in a jam band, and we do a lot of concert tours. So I fly a lot…” Schools goes on to describe a practical joke that he and a flight attendant played on another flight attendant that revolved around his hair as well his favorite airports (and least favorite- Atlanta) along with how he earned a bonus dessert for being a good seatmate. The piece can be found here.
