moe. Update Fans on Chuck Garvey’s Stroke Recovery: “He is Currently Getting The Best Care Possible”

On Nov. 9, moe. broke the news that guitarist/co-founder Chuck Garvey had suffered a stroke, noting that he is “currently hospitalized and in stable condition.”

moe. bassist Rob Derhak has now taken to social media to give fans an update, writing, “The outpouring of healing vibes sent to Chuck has been inspiring, thank you all for the love. I know how much all of you care and how worried many of you are. I’d like to let you all know that he is currently getting the best care possible, and is in incredibly capable hands.”

Derhak goes on to say that while Garvey has “a long road ahead of him,” his strength and determination has given way to “very positive and impressive progress.” (Derhak had his own health hurdles in recent memory, as he battled – and beat – nasopharyngeal cancer in 2017.)

“I’d like to let you all know that [Chuck] is currently getting the best care possible, and is in incredibly capable hands,” he says.
