MC5’s legacy lives on in a new album from MC50, the touring revival outfit led by the band’s late founding guitarist Wayne Kramer.

Set to release on Dec. 5 via earMUSIC, the MC50’s 10 More collects live cuts from the tribute supergroup’s 2018 tour. For the legendary proto-punk band’s 50th anniversary, Kramer tapped the talents of MC5’s devotees of the next generation, resurrecting the group’s explosive and revolutionary sound with Brendan Canty (Fugazi, The Messthetics), Matt Cameron (Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Pearl Jam), Kim Thayil (Soundgarden), Billy Gould (Faith No More), and Marcus Durant (Zen Guerrilla).

10 More follows collection follows a previous set of highlights from the tour, 10 x MC5 LIVE, which was included within a deluxe packaging of the band’s final studio album Heavy Lifting in 2024. Treatments of staples from the Detroit icons’ early catalog – including “Rocket Reducer No. 62 (Rama Lama Fa-Fa-Fa),” “Looking at You,” “Call Me Animal,” and “The American Ruse,” plus a cover of Ray Charles’ “I Believe to My Soul” – were captured live on stage during tour stops in Seattle, Cincinnati, and Hamburg, Germany.

Kramer passed away during the final stages of recording Heavy Lifting in February 2024. Drummer Dennis Thompson was the final surviving member of the groundbreaking group’s original lineup before his death in May 2024. Their music endures in the work of countless punk and heavy garage rock artists who followed in their footsteps, and their indelible influence was canonized with their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year.
