Marc Maron to Headline Benefit Comedy Show for Divided Sky Foundation in Los Angeles

On Tuesday, April 7, certified funny guy, podcaster, and devoted Phish fan, Marc Maron, has signed on to conjure laughs through the launch of Marc Maron & Friends: A Benefit for Divided Sky. The one-off night of comedy and give-back will take place at the Los Angeles nightclub Largo at the Coronet and is billed to feature an unnamed group of A-list friends and fellow humorists.

Previously, Phish’s frontman, Trey Anastasio, appeared on the WTF podcast with Maron in July 2024. The conversation ran the gamut, touching on the musician’s self-fledged status as an “outsider,” Anastasio’s earliest musical influences (The Jackson 5 et al.), the pressure Phish faced following the 1995 death of the Grateful Dead’s Jerry Garcia, and other confluences of the times harnessed to the ups and downs of being in the limelight.

The forthcoming night of comedy will also double as a benefit, with all proceeds raised granted to the Divided Sky Foundation and its mission “to deliver supportive and compassionate programming with dignity and respect for individuals and their families affected by addiction.” Donations can be made ahead of the event by visiting dividedsky.org
