Lukas Nelson, Jason Isbell, Dawes and More Take Part in Artist-Signed Print Auction to Benefit Sweet Relief’s Disaster Fund

Esteemed photographer Jacob Blickenstaff has announced an artist-signed print auction to benefit Sweet Relief’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund, which provides immediate financial help to artists and music industry professionals impacted by the recent LA wildfires. The auction includes over 20 prints featuring shots of luminaries like Lukas Nelson, Natalie Merchant, Steve Earle, Dawes, Jason Isbell, and others.
The photos featured in the auction were sourced from Blickenstaff’s personal archive. To make the charitable offering possible, he tapped a web of music industry friends and collaborators from his 20-year career, shooting album covers and sharing his shots on the pages of Relix, Rolling Stone, and The New York Times.
The auction is live and will run through Feb. 14, 2025. For those interested in perusing the offerings, scroll through the biddable list of signed prints here. Among the photographs is a 2019 shot from Newport Folk Festival rehearsals featuring Isbell and Dawes; behind-the-scenes images featuring Earle at Electric Lady, Merchant, amidst her 2017 sessions for Butterfly, are also included.
As for live performance photos, Blickenstaff has listed shots of Lukas Nelson performing at 2018’s Newport Folk, Bonnie Light Horseman at Rough Trade, The Heavy Heavy at New York’s Mercury Lounge, Neal Frances on The Beacon stage, Lee Fields at Brooklyn Steel, and so on. Also included are a plethora of portraits of Yola, Joe Henry, Blake Mills, Daniel Lanois and more.
