Listen: LP Giobbi and Goose Unite for New Cross-Collaborations “Arrow” and “All I Need”
Today, August 15, Goose and LP Giobbi have demonstrated mutual respect and admiration for each other’s craft by releasing their own spin on favorite tracks from the other to create two completely new and riveting pieces of art. Included are Goose’s take on the LP Giobbi’s original “All I Need” and Giobbi’s reimagined “Arrow.”
The musical alliance sees Goose take on Giobbi’s track, “All I Need,” not to be confused with their own song, which goes by the same name. The song originated from her 2023 debut album, Light Places. Whereas the original presents Giobbi’s signature ethereal electronic approach, Goose’s reinterpretation is a dance-rock anthem with singer/guitarist Rick Mitarotonda’s vocals now at the forefront.
“Goose is my favorite band to come out of the jam scene in a long time,” offered Giobbi via press release. “It is a true honor to get to work with this insanely talented group of folks. The through lines between the jam band and dance world continue to excite me and I’m so grateful Goose let me try my hand at one of my favorite tracks of theirs.”
Meanwhile, Giobbi has remixed Goose’s horn-laden 2022 Dripfield cut, “Arrow,” transforming the tune’s island vibes into her own brand of house music. “I’ve loved the idea of having our songs remixed for a long time,” said Mitarotonda. “It’s so cool to hear the way LP dissected, re-harmonized, and made ‘Arrow’ into a proper dance party. She’s amazing.”
