I’m With Her–the Americana supergroup of Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O’Donovan, and Sara Watkins–have returned today with the second single from its sophomore studio album. Wild and Clear and Blue, the trio’s follow-up to its celebrated 2018 debut See You Around, is due to release on May 9 via Rounder Records and shows the acclaimed combination further honing its collective sound. After the warm and mesmerizing “Ancient Light” previewed this growth in early March, “Find My Way to You” once again underscored the group’s range.

“Find My Way to You” is a return to the artists’ time-tested form, emphasizing a more traditional bluegrass sound than the preceding single. Atop an arrangement of quick picking and spirited strings, the performers connect in brilliant, subtly melded harmonies only attainable through intimate collaboration. According to the artists, the track traces its roots back to Jarosz and O’Donovan’s set at 2023’s Newport Folk Festival, where they delivered a memorable treatment of Bruce Springsteen’s “Open All Night.”

“After we covered the Springsteen song, Watkins said how she wished I’m With Her had a moment like that—that same kind of forceful duet singing,” O’Donovan recalled in a release. “Over time the chorus to ‘Find My Way to You’ became exactly that, which is a good example of how the three of us send these little psychic messages to each other and it somehow turns into a song.”

Wild and Clear and Blue was recorded with Josh Kaufman—a member of Bonnie Light Horseman and high-profile producer–at both The Outlier Inn in the Catskills and The Clubhouse in Rhinebeck, N.Y. The band has shared a behind-the-scenes look at the process that led to this latest statement in an intimate music video and unveiled plans to celebrate the album’s release with a 50-stop tour, commencing at Wilkesboro, N.C.’s MerleFest on April 25 and culminating in a performance at Nashville, Tenn.’s Ryman Auditorium on Nov. 16.
