Levitation has unveiled the full artist lineup for its 2025 festival. From Sept. 25-28, the beloved 17-year staple of Austin, Texas’ psych, punk, electronica and alt-rock scene will move to a new home at the Palmer Events Center, shifting to a multi-stage, single location format closer to the event’s roots with night shows dispersed throughout the venues of the Downtown Red River district. This year’s lineup boasts a total of 58 acts, led by headliners Mastodon, Acid Bath, TV on the Radio and Pavement.

Beyond the biggest names, some of Levitation’s top billings for the two daytime stages include Built to Spill, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Sword and Austin legends The Black Angels, whose members Christian Bland and Alex Maas helped establish Levitation and Austin Psych Fest producers The Reverberation Appreciation Society. Among the other highlights of the diverse and star-studded lineup are Destroyer, Frankie & The Witch Fingers, Wednesday, The Armed, Secret Chiefs 3, Population II, Being Dead and A Place to Bury Strangers. The night programming’s best includes Boy Harsher, Sudan Archives, Pup & Jeff Rosenstock, The Dandy Warhols, Suicide’s Martin Rev, Neal Francis, Drugdealer, Desire with Johnny Jewel, Pile, Warmduscher, Sinkane, Omni and Kumo 99.

“We’ve been searching for the right location to bring a multi-stage experience back to LEVITATION for years, and we found it right downtown,” The Reverberation Appreciation Society co-founder Rob Fitzpatrick said of this year’s event. “The venue offers a huge upgrade in production overall with endless possibilities for the visual experience, and great amenities – air conditioning, nice bathrooms, ample parking, a giant shaded outdoor courtyard, along with the production infrastructure needed for a world-class show. All of that in a beautiful park in the heart of the city, and the proximity to downtown means we’re still able to host shows in our Red River venues; these clubs are the heart and soul of our music scene in Austin and it wouldn’t be LEVITATION without them. We’re very excited to create something remarkable and built to last in this new home for the festival, and we can’t wait to experience this lineup with everyone in September.”
