Kraftwerk Announce 2025 Multimedia Tour, Celebrating 50 Years of ‘Autobahn’

Kraftwerk will return to North America for another sprawling outing in 2025. Today, the iconic German electronic pioneers have announced the 2025 Multimedia Tour, plotting 27 performances across the US and Canada from March 6 to April 24. While robotic quartet’s upcoming tour will feature the same era-spanning mix of fan favorites that has defined their recent setlists, it arrives as the group celebrates the 50th anniversary of Autobahn, its breakthrough fourth album which helped electronic music gain a foothold in the US.

Kraftwerk will boot up its Multimedia Tour with a performance at Philadelphia’s Franklin Music Hall, then move through Pittsburgh on March 7 en route to a pair of Canadian stagings. The robots will return to the Northeast on March 8 to play at Boston’s Wang Theatre at the Boch Center, kicking off a seven-stop trek down the East Coast that includes engagements at Brooklyn, N.Y.’s Kings Theatre on March 13, New York’s Beacon Theatre on March 14, Washington’s The Anthem on March 16 and Atlanta’s The Eastern on March 23. After a set at New Orleans’ historic Orpheum Theater on March 24, the band will conclude its Southeast leg with shows in Memphis and Nashville, Tenn. on March 25 and 26.

Following an engagement at Detroit’s Masonic Cathedral Theatre on March 28, Kraftwerk will motor through the Midwest with stops in Chicago, Minneapolis and Kansas City, Mo. from March 29-31. The quartet will cut through Denver on April 2 en route to the West Coast, where it will assume the spotlight in Portland, Ore. and Vancouver before its previously announced performances at Coachella on April 13 and 20, slotting a date at Salt Lake City’s The Union between those festival sets on April 16. Finally, Kraftwerk will wrap its tour in The Lone Star State, with an April 23 show at Austin Bass Concert Hall preceding a closing engagement at Dallas’ Majestic Theatre on April 24.

Fans can expect Kraftwerk’s trademark combination of classic tracks and immersive visuals at its 2025 shows. The group formally announced its next run with a video in this retro-futuristic style, which shows pro-skater Tony Hawk in costume and rendered as a wire-frame 3D model. Kraftwerk’s 2024 tour was lined with highlights, including a nine-night, career-spanning residency at Walt Disney Concert Hall with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and a performance at Naeba, Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival, where they honored old friend Ryuichi Sakamoto with a treatment of “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence,” the band’s first-ever cover.
