Relix has announced Flame Throwers: Volume Four, the latest installment of the King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard “Bootlegger” vinyl series. The new entry for the Relix exclusive King Gizzard run was captured during Field of Vision, the genre-obliterating Australian sextet’s inaugural curated U.S. festival, which raged at Buena Vista, Colo.’s Meadow Creek from Aug. 15-17. This exclusive souvenir from the event preserves all the unpredictable, undefinable and explosive highlights from the band’s three headline shows.

Flame Throwers: Volume 4 comprises 11 tracks, cherry-picked as the very best from each night. Each disc in the three-LP set centers a different show, together spanning the vast, kaleidoscopic spectrum of the band’s sound, from exhilarating head-banging thrash anthems to contemplative, transportive, psychedelic balladry.

With all three of their Field of Vision sets, King Gizzard showcased the very best of their unparalleled instrumental prowess, honed over the course of their triumphant North American summer orchestral tour and culminating in one final farewell to audiences on this side of the pond until 2026. Their kinetic and inventive approach to this last hurrah was palpably charged by the diverse and collaborative festival they assembled, including sets from the likes of Spellling, White Fence, King Stingray, Babe Rainbow and more. The group’s fearless embrace of new sounds is perhaps best showcased on the B-side of disc one, which features the unforgettable sit-in from Jello Biafra on a snarling, vicious, awe-inspiring debut cover of The Dead Kennedys’ iconic hardcore classic “Police Truck.”

Flame Throwers: Volume Four is etched in vibrant 140-gram vinyl by the standard-bearing Third Man Pressing. The tracks are housed in heavy-duty gatefold sleeves adorned with original cover art from Madalyn Stefanak. The limited-edition essentials for die-hard King Gizzard devotees are available to pre-order now, with an expected arrival date of Dec. 1, exclusively via relix.shop.
