John Mayer has added six shows to his upcoming Sphere run. In addition to the April 8, 10, 11, 15, 17 and 18 Sphere dates he initially confirmed, Mayer will now appear at the immersive space on April 28 and 30, May 1, 5, 7, 8, 12, 14 and 15, and June 2, 4 and 5.
As previously reported, the guitarist—who hosted residencies at the Las Vegas venue in 2024 and 2025 as a member of Dead & Company—will appear solo, with his full and in a trio format. The trio spots will feature bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan; the John Mayer Trio last performed together in 2023, when they regrouped for short sets at Love Rocks and Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival.
Mayer recently shared the stage with Trey Anastasio at Crossroads Guitar Festival in Austin, TX. From there, he took part in the Buddy’s Got The Blues tribute at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on October 1. He joined the evening’s honoree Buddy Guy for Johnny “Guitar” Watson’s “A Real Mother for Ya” and remained on stage as Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Billy Gibbons, Ally Venable and a mix of other event performers filtered in for Willie Dixon’s “I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man” and a show-closing version of Ann Cole with the Suburbans’ “Got My Mojo Working.”
Mayer will perform at Uncasville, CT’s Mohegan Sun Arena tomorrow as part of the venue’s 30th anniversary celebration.
