On Sunday evening, Jan. 8, Jazz is Dead commenced its 25th-anniversary run at Los Angeles’ Lodge Room. The event saw the band’s co-founder Alphonso Johnson, in addition to fellow players Steve Kimock (guitar), Pete Lavezzoli (drums) and Bobby Lee Rodgers (banjo, guitar), deliver the Grateful Dead’s Wake of The Flood, in its entirety.
