Jazz Aspen Snowmass Shares 2026 June Experience Lineup: Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, The Family Stone, Christian McBride, Cory Henry and More

Jazz Aspen Snowmass has unveiled the full artist lineup for the 2026 JAS June Experience. This year’s event series will take place on June 25-28 and welcome 15 major names from the worlds of jazz, funk, blues and more to eight venues in downtown Aspen. With an eclectic program featuring multiple set bookings within walking distance of the city center, the JAS June Experience offers intimate encounters with iconic acts and encourages attendees to curate unique experiences.

Following the format established by the 2019 presentation, this year’s festivities will begin on Thursday, June 25, with a set from The New Orleans Suspects at Paul JAS Center, Jazz Aspen Snowmass’s recently opened year-round home. The festivities will erupt into full swing on Friday with sets from Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Jimmy Vaughan & The Tilt-A-Whirl Bamnd, Tony Monaco’s B-3 Funk & Groove Unit and “Remembering Ray Brown,” a tribute to the legendary bassist who served as a formative influence on JAS’s development; the two-set memorial program will honor Brown’s music with the influential Oscar Peterson Trio with a combo of pianist Benny Green, drummer Greg Hutchinson and bassist Christian McBride, longtime Artistic Director of the JAS Academy summer residency.

On Saturday, a second stacked full day of music will be led by performances from The Family Stone, carrying on the legacy of the late Sly Stone, as well as Robert Cray, Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles, Vincen Garcia, Anat Cohen “Quartetinho,” Acoustic Alchemy and the JAS Big Band, led by McBride and featuring Lizz Wright, among other special guests.
