Inaugural RiverBeat Music Festival to Host The Fugees, Odesza, Black Pumas, Big Boi and More

Mempho Presents has unveiled the full artist lineup for RiverBeat Music Festival, the organization’s newest event scheduled to debut on May 3-5. Set on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River at Memphis, Tenn.’s Tom Lee Park, this celebration’s inaugural presentation will feature display a wide range of genres and styles–from hip-hop, to country, to indie pop–welcoming a diverse and adventurous audience.

The Fugees, Odesza and Jelly Roll will lead the charge each day atop a roster of over 50 artists to be dispersed across five stages. The festival’s other top artists include Mt. Joy, Black Pumas, Big Boi, Tobe Nwigwe, The Band Camino, Killer Mike, Matt and Kim, Jessie Murph and Morgan Wade. Fan-favorite entries down the bill include Del Water Gap, The Aces, Southern Avenue, S.G. Goodman and many more. Famed Memphian, Grammy-winner and legendary producer Boo Mitchell will also take the stage to perform and again to flex his directorial chops with a special presentation titled Take Me To The River: Memphis. “I believe this is a unique lineup, and I’m really impressed by the caliber of talent that signed up for our first year,” Mitchell has shared. “I can’t wait to get back out there on stage and enjoy this event with all of Memphis.”

In the festival’s launch release, Jeff Bransford, spokesman for Mempho Presents, speaks to RiverBeat’s background and intention: “We are so excited to host the RiverBeat Festival along the Mississippi River at Tom Lee Park. Memphians know us for Mempho Music Festival, and now we’re introducing another signature event in downtown Memphis, which we believe will be a big draw for international and local visitors alike. RiverBeat was conceived as an inclusive event featuring a wide range of genres that will attract music lovers from all walks of life. Through music, we will bring our community together, support our local businesses, and attract new visitors to our city. We believe this is what Memphis is all about.”
