Hoxeyville Spring Adds Dark Star Orchestra, Yonder Mountain String Band and Daniel Donato to Debut Event
Hoxeyville Presents has announced the final artist lineup for its debut Hoxeyville Spring event. Brought to life by the same group that has staged the widely celebrated Hoxeyville Music Festival since 2002, the new event will bring some of the biggest names in jam back to Cadillac, Mich.’s idyllic Hoxeyville Farm from May 31 to June 2. Dark Star Orchestra, Yonder Mountain String Band and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country now join a previously announced bill including The Allman Betts Band, Leftover Salmon and The Infamous Stringdusters to trek into the heart of Manistee National Forest for an immersive natural experience.
Dark Star Orchestra has joined the festival as the headliner, set to lead the lineup alongside the four other top billings. The greener acts that will perform are Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, The Sweetwater Warblers, Susto, Luke Winslow King, Jen Dygit, Hannah Rose Graves and six-piece psychedelic roots collective Airborne or Aquatic?, which was formed in Manistee National Park and will serve as the event’s host band. These acts will grace the Timber Stage, which will present music from 5:00 p.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday and from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Outside its stellar selection of bands and performers, Hoxeyville welcomes attendees to 200 acres of verdant farmland to explore through the weekend. More so than in Hoxeyville Music Festival, Hoxeyville Spring is oriented toward appreciating the abundant season in the Northwoods of the Upper Peninsula; camping and RV accommodations and outdoor offerings, such as canoe trips and ecology workshops, are guaranteed to bring out the naturalist in all festival attendees. Topping it all off, the festival will present a selection of the region’s finest food and craft vendors to keep the community comfortable.
