High Sierra Music Festival Confirms That the Event Will Take Place in 2025

Last week the producer of the High Sierra Music Festival expressed some concerns about viability of this year’s event. In an article that appeared in The Plumas Sun, titled “Record-low sales threaten High Sierra Festival,” Dave Margulies indicated, “It would just destroy me if we had to cancel.”

On Wednesday, The Plumas Sun reported: “As of June 18 ticket sales are down about 40% from last year. To achieve break-even, the festival needs to move around 2,000 additional four-day passes, representing about $750,000… Time is growing short for the 2025 event. Margulies said he will need to make a decision on whether or not to cancel the event by Friday. ‘I wish we had another month,’ he said.”

However thanks to to the enthusiasm of the event’s many longtime supporters, High Sierra has announced that it will indeed take place in 2025.

The festival issued the followed statement:

To our High Sierra Family,

Your voices have been heard! The momentum is real. And while the road is still steep, we’ve made the call: we’re moving forward. The show will go on!

High Sierra is more than a weekend – it’s a ritual. A home. A gathering that’s held strong for over three decades, thanks to everyone involved. Our team is all in. And we can’t wait to welcome you back this July 4th weekend – to the music, the mountains, and the magic.

Haven’t committed yet? Now’s the time. High Sierra needs you. And you need this. This doesn’t end with a shortfall. It ends when you stop believing.

Cheers to another year,

The High Sierra Music Festival Team

The High Sierra Music Festival will take place from July 3-6 in Quincy, CA. Tickets can be purchased here.
