Heart have postponed all upcoming tour dates through the end of the year with an announcement from Ann Wilson, who attributed the delayed arrangements to doctors orders as she undergoes an urgent medical treatment. In a post to social channels, the artist revealed that she “recently underwent an operation to remove something that, as it turns out, was cancerous,” prompting a new series of medical interventions.
“The operation was successful & I’m feeling great but my doctors are now advising me to undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy & I’ve decided to do it,” the artist elaborated. “And so doctors are instructing me to take the rest of the year away from the stage in order to fully recover.” The rest of Heart’s year on the road comprised the second half of the Royal Flush Tour, including the remainder of the band’s current European leg, upcoming North American run and dates with Journey and Def Leppard.
In a separate post, Heart has urged its fans to hold on to their tickets, as they will be honored for a new slate of shows in 2025. Information on these arrangements is still forthcoming; ticketholders can expect further details in the coming weeks. “Please know that I absolutely plan to be back on stage in 2025. My team is getting those details sorted & we’ll let you know the plan as soon as we can.”
Apart from rightly claiming the space to undergo this chapter without the pressure of prying eyes, suggesting that she will make no further comment on medical procedures, the artist closes with words of determination and gratitude. “Thank you all for your support,” she writes. “This is merely a pause. I’ve much more to sing.”
