Green River Festival Reveals 40th Anniversary Lineup: Geese, Spoon, Charley Crockett, Kurt Vile, Wednesday, Lucius and More

Green River Festival has unveiled the full artist lineup for its 2026 event. Returning to Greenfield, Massachusetts’ Franklin County Fairgrounds from June 19-21, the local favorite festival’s 40th anniversary staging unites a dream team of premier acts in indie-rock, folk, global music and more. Charlie Crockett, Spoon and Geese will headline the three-day camping event.

Today’s announcement distributes the new total of 50 performances across Friday, Saturday and Sunday programs. Before country firebrand Crockett’s show-closer on Friday, attendees will catch sets from Southern soul duo The War and Treaty, Americana crooner Kashus Culpepper and reggae singer-songwriter Lila Iké, as well as Southern Avenue, Swamp Dogg, Sunny War, Tré Burt and more.

Saturday’s bill includes indie powerhouses Kurt Vile & The Violators, The Beths, and Ratboys, alt-soul artist PawPaw Rod, TV On The Radio frontman Tunde Adebimpe and Australian folk innovators Folk Bitch Trio, plus other standouts like Fust, Greg Freeman, Etran de L’Aïr and Sonido Galla Negro.

Come Sunday, Geese will cap off the event following appearances from Karly Hartzman’s heavy alt-country outfit Wednesday, indie-pop mainstays Lucius, NOLA bounce queen Big Freedia, Dinosaur Jr. frontman J Mascis and Americana trailblazer Hurray for the Riff Raff, with an undercard including Frente Cumbiero, Ken Pomeroy, Tyler Ballgame, Esther Rose and Derya Yildirim & Grup Şimşek.

Single-day and two-day passes for the 40th anniversary Green River Festival will go on sale this Friday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. Three-day plan-ahead passes and camping add-ons for are available now. Find more information at greenriverfestival.com.
