George Porter Jr. Details Halloween Concert with Runnin’ Pardners and Special Guests Brian Stoltz and Mark Mullins

George Porter Jr. and the Runnin’ Pardners have extended an invitation to the public for their Halloween Party at Chickie Wah Wah in New Orleans on Friday, October 31. The evening will include special guests, Porter Jr.’s Funky Meters and Porter, Batiste, Stoltz collaborator Brian Stoltz, and former member of the Runnin’ Pardners and current Bonerama constituent, Mark Mullins.
Before hosting and entertaining during their late-night Halloween party, Porter Jr. and the Runnin’ Pardners will warm up with a series of live performances, beginning on Friday, September 26, at the North Star Theatre in Manderville, La. They’ll pick up their next gig on the following Friday, October 2, a festival slot during Shakori Hills Grassroots in Pittsboro, N.C.
Leading into spooky season, Porter Jr. and his aforementioned collaborators will participate in the NOLA Funk Fest on Saturday, October 18, ahead of Porter’s Funky Meters 2.0 revival, also part of the fete above, on Sunday, October 19.
After turning in his Halloween performance, Porter Jr. and his Pardners in sound will proceed to Greensboro, N.C., for a one-off concert on November 7. Looking ahead, Porter Jr.’s calendar includes a December 12 concert at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette, La.
