Full Concert Video: Prince Collaborates with Miles Davis for Special 12/31/87 Paisley Park Show

On Dec. 31, 1987, Prince brought his “Sign O’ The Times” tour to a close at his Paisely Park home, playing a benefit concert for the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless.
According to an official description, the evening’s newly released full-concert video marks The Purple One’s “only on-stage collaboration with jazz legend Miles Davis” with an encore of “It’s Gonna Be A Beautiful Night” / “Chain Of Fools” / “Pacemaker – Take the ‘A’ Train.”
Overall, the New Year’s Eve show is anchored my a mind-blowing trio of “Purple Rain,” “Auld Lang Syne” and “1999,” showcasing Prince’s undeniable strength as a performer and a bandleader.
The clip also celebrates the release of the comprehensive reissue of Prince’s Sign O’ The Times LP, including 63 previously unreleased tracks and the below, 2-plus-hour concert video.
