From August 30 through Sept. 1, the Earl Scruggs Music Festival will once again take place at Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C. Today, the folks behind the annual gathering that celebrates the three-finger picking banjoist shared the 2024 artist lineup, which includes celebrated acta such as Tanya Tucker, Old Crow Medicine Show, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives and others. 

In addition to the previously mentioned participants, the third annual event will feature returning hosts Jerry Douglas and The Earls of Leicester, Mighty Poplar, Lindsay Lou, Miko Marks, and first-time guests The Steeldrivers. Also making the list of impending performers is second-generation Dawg music torch-bearer Sam Grisman and his band, who will perform with the legendary Peter Rowan. 

Other established artists from the traditional roots music and progressive fusion canon will mark Scruggs’ impact on American culture by picking through material that celebrates the genre, like AJ Lee & Blue Summit, Chris Jones & The Night Drivers, Shadowgrass, Twisted Pine, Wyatt Ellis, Rachel Sumner & Traveling Light, Carley Arrowood and others which can be viewed below. 

Besides artists signing on for the event, the Earl Scruggs Music Festival has partnered with WNCW 88.7 at Isothermal Community College in Spindale, N.C., and the Earl Scruggs Center in Shelby, N.C., to expand its 2024 offerings. 

Advance-price tickets are currently on sale, with various General Admission and VIP packages available. VIP ticket packages include reserved seating in VIP-exclusive indoor and outdoor spaces, exclusive merchandise items, complimentary refreshments, and more. On-site camping and cabin rentals are also available for reservation via the festival website.
