As the outset of its highly-anticipated residency at Las Vegas’ Sphere approaches, the Eagles have announced a further extension of the run at the pioneering venue. After its grand unveiling only a month ago, the band has lengthened its stay twice already, and today’s update brings the series into January for five consecutive months on the most watched stage in the most widely eye-catching venue in the world today. The Eagles will now bring its massively influential brand of balmy, country-inflected West Coast rock to Sphere for 20 total dates, and fans across the country eagerly await the first glimpses of the show to come.
The Eagles currently include lone original member Don Henley, second lineup addition Joe Walsh, 1977 tour drop-in-turned-feature Timothy B. Schmit, 2017 add Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, son of the founder and late co-lead Glenn Frey. For its extended stay in Sin City, the group will offer a pair of shows nearly every weekend, taking the stage on Fridays and Saturdays from the third week of Sept. 20 through Jan. 25.
Per an official press release, the Eagles’ Sphere experience will deliver the ultimate fan experience, staging a nostalgic trip down memory lane that explores the band’s singular, deeply American sound fusing rock, country, folk, R&B, rock, and pop. Following the conclusion of the Last Goodbye Tour–which saw the ensemble step away from the road for the foreseeable future–on June 15, the Sphere stint offers Eagles followers one last chance to celebrate the band’s legacy, which boasts more than 150 million albums sold worldwide, six No. 1 albums, five chart-topping singles, six Grammy Awards and a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The Artist presale for the Eagles’ Sphere residency begins on Tuesday, July 23 at 10:00 a.m. PT; fans can register for advance access now. General public on-sale will follow on Friday, July 26 at 10:00 a.m. PT. For more information on the band and its thrilling plans for Vegas, visit eagles.com.
