The Eagles will continue to soar.
The ensemble, known for its melodic sound that calls for cowboy boots worn on wide, sandy stretches of the California shoreline, has unveiled a trio of live appearances that will take them beyond Las Vegas’ Sphere and into the Southern US, beginning on Tuesday, May 5. The run is dubbed “The Long Goodbye, Act III,” with very special guests, Tedeschi Trucks Band.
The band, known for its 50-year lineage and 1,000+ live shows, will begin “The Long Goodbye, Act III” at Truist Park in Atlanta on the aforementioned date. Next, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, and their big band guests in tow, will perform on Saturday, May 9, at FirstBank Stadium at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, prior to the final date on the docket, Saturday, May 16, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Before hitting the road, the Eagles will make Sphere appearances as part of their venue-specific residency, which began in September 2024. After submitting a final weekend, Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11, the group will take some time away from the stage before they arrive at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on Saturday, May 2–the prelude to begin “The Long Goodbye, Act III.”
Notably, the Eagles have recently made headlines after Henley participated in a CBS Sunday Morning interview in which he said that 2026 “will probably be it” for the band. “I’ve said things like that before, but I feel like we’re getting toward the end and that will be fine, too … I’m OK with that, because I’d like to spend more time with my family and growing vegetables. There are just lots of other things to do.”
Despite previous comments, the band’s most recent actions suggest they’re still flying high.
Pre-sale for “The Long Goodbye, Act III” begins Thursday, March 5, 10 a.m. local time.
