Deer Tick Will Deliver Nirvana Set at SXSW

Deer Tick has announced that it will perform a special set next Saturday. The Rhode Island based group, which released its third album, The Black Dirt Sessions, last year will be in Austin at SXSW. There at 1AM on Saturday, March 19 (technically early Sunday morning) the group will appear as Deervana. There the band will take the stage at Lustre Pearl and perform the music of Nirvana.
Deer Tick vocalist John McCauley also will be at SXSW, in support of his new Middle Brother project which also draws together Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes and Matthew Vasquez of Delta Spirit (the trio performed on Tuesday at Relix). For more on Deer Tick, check out the recent feature in Relix.
