Daze Between New Orleans Announces 2025 Event at New Venue, Detail Artist Lineup Ft. Umphrey’s Led Zeppelin Set with Jason Bonham, moe., Allman Betts NOLA Revival and More

Daze Between New Orleans has shared the dates and location of its 2025 return. The annual Crescent City event will take place midweek on Tuesday, April 29, and Wednesday, April 30, during the daze between weekends of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. It will be held at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts in Louis Armstrong Park.

The format of this year’s occasion is rooted in a series of sets and live performances that celebrate the region and its players. Therefore, this year’s lineup has been carefully crafted to include nods to the Crescent City while remaining under the jam umbrella, generating a natural crossover between the two intersecting musical worlds.

Doors open at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, before the onset of songs and the initial set, billed as lespecial with sax ace Skerik. moe., is also slated to perform with featured guests Alex Wasily, Ashlin Parker, and Brad Walker from The Dumpstaphunk Horns.

Umphrey McGee’s two-set performance, billed as one frame of original music featuring Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band) and Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band) and another celebrating the musician of Led Zeppelin with drummer Jason Bonham, son of the British rock group’s original backbeat, John Bonham.

Wednesday, April 30, will open with a set from The Headhunters, with added help from guitarist Eric Krasno and Djembe master Weedie Braimah. Then, two Big Easy icons, George Porter Jr. and Leo Nocentelli, will arrive, performing music from their days with The Meters and help from fellow regional stalwarts Stanton Moore and Ivan Neville.

The Allman Betts Band will offer a special New Orleans version of their celebratory Family Revival Tour, with support from Porter Jr., Neville, Krasno, songstress Sierra Green, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band Horns, and other special guests.

This year’s event will feature music on a single stage with no overlapping sets. The music will be performed inside the theater, with outdoor elements like food trucks, vendor tables, an outdoor bar, and a brass band present and performing during set turnovers.
