Dave Matthews Appears with Blue Man Group in NYC
Last night Dave Matthews performed an eight song solo acoustic set at New York City’s Astor Place Theatre. His performance included his first-known version of Procol Harum’s “Whiter Shade of Pale” and also included “Bartender,” “Stay or Leave,” “Gravedigger,” “You & Me,” “Rye Whiskey,” “So Damn Lucky” and “Some Devil.” The occasion was the 20th anniversary celebration of Blue Man Group and a benefit for the BMG’s Blue School. The original Blue Man Group trio of Chris Wink, Philip Stanton and Matt Goldman then reunited for a performance following Matthews set and later invited him out for “Little Thing” and “Sing Along.” Matthews first joined Blue Man Group for “Sing Along” on the 2003 album The Complex.
