Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country have expanded their upcoming acoustic tour. After performing at Ardmore, PA’s Ardmore Music Hall from December 3-5 and Asheville, NC’s Asheville Music Hall from December 9-11, Donato will bring his Down One Horse run to Charleston, SC’s Pour House from December 17-19. Much like the previously confirmed stops on the outing, each night will feature a different guest—Larry Keel (12/17), Kanika Moore (12/18) and Jon Stickley (12/19).
As previously reported, regular Cosmic Country drummer Will “Bronco” Clark will be on paternity leave following the birth of a child this December. When announcing the concept Donato noted, “As Bronco stays home to tend to the old home place and his newly born son this December, I had a wild idea… Let’s do an unplugged acoustic tour! The very first in Cosmic Country history of all space and time.”
Donato’s Ardmore guests include Anders Beck (12/3), JP & Poppy Biondo (12/4) and Bronwyn Keith-Hynes (12/5) while Aron Magner (12/9), Jeff Sipe (12/10) and Kyser George (12/11) are all slated to join Cosmic Country in Asheville.
In other guest-related news, on Sunday Donato appeared at Darlington, MD’s Ramble Festival. Leftover Salmon’s Vince Herman sat in with Cosmic Country for the entirety of their set while Hayley Jane appeared on a run from Little Feat’s “Don’t Bogart That Joint” into “Willin’” as well as The Band’s “The Weight.” Bella Rayne joined in on The Band cover too and remained for the rest of the group’s show. Shawn Eckels, the former guitarist for Andy Frasco & The U.N., also emerged for a few selections.
Looking ahead, Donato will appear at Charlottesville, VA’s The Jefferson Theater tomorrow.
