This fall, The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn is bringing the “This Is What It Looks Like: Solo Songs & Stories” tour back to the U.S. and U.K. following a successful run earlier this year. With this new set of cities, Finn hopes to reach fans he has not connected with in years and debut new work as the tour continues to evolve. Special guest Kathleen Edwards is also set to join the Minnesota-born musician for these European dates. 

Following his summer performances with The Hold Steady, including an appearance at Milwaukee’s Summerfest in late June and three consecutive evenings at Denver’s Bluebird Theater on Aug. 22-24, Finn will kick off his solo tour at Whelan’s in Dublin, Ireland on Sept. 6. That week, Finn is slated for five consecutive U.K. performances in Liverpool, Nottingham, Brighton, Cardiff and London. After a festival performance in Denmark and three evenings in Germany in September, Finn will return stateside in October and regroup with The Hold Steady for performances at The EARL and Variety Playhouse on Oct. 3-5 alongside Kevin Morby.

In November, the “This Is What It Looks Like: Solo Songs & Stories” tour will return to the U.S. for a show at Northampton, Mass.’s Iron Horse Music Hall on Nov. 6. In the following days, Finn will perform at venues like New York’s Le Poisson Rouge on Nov. 9, Philadelphia’s World Cafe Live on Nov. 10 and Chicago’s Schubas Tavern on Nov. 14. To close out the run, Finn and his band will make one last stand at Baltimore’s Club 603 on Nov. 23.
