Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell will join The Avett Brothers for their September 30 performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The North Carolina folk rockers performed on Fallon last night, performing “Another Is Waiting” from their forthcoming album Magpie and the Dandelion due out October 15. One would assume The Avetts played with Cornell last night following the first taping, but there is still no word on what song the two performed. In addition to the Fallon appearance, The Avett Brothers will appear in their own PBS special filmed this evening in New York City.
