Chicago Blues Festival returns to The Windy City on June 6 through 9. The annual free event will occur at Millennium Park in Chicago over four days in late spring. Headlining this year’s festival bill is blues troubadour Buddy Guy, who is scheduled to take the stage on Sunday, June 9, for a set that will run from 7:45 p.m. through 9 p.m.

“I can’t wait to hit the stage at the Chicago Blues Festival,” exclaimed Guy in a statement about the event. “There’s something special about playing in the city where it all started. The energy, the history, the soul of Chicago blues–it’s in the air, and I’m excited to be a part of it once again.”

Apart from the headliner with deep Chicago roots, the 20th annual festival will boast 35 performances across three stages, including Shemekia Copeland, Southern Avenue, Ronnie Baker Brooks, and more. The multi-day affair will also include a tribute to Jimmy Rogers, featuring Kim Wilson, Jimmy D. Lane, Kenny “Blue Boss” Wayne, Bob Margolin, Sebastian Lane, Kenny “Beedy Eyes” Smith, and Felton Crews.

A tribute to Dinah Washington will also occur, with musical aid provided by Dee Alexander, Bruce Henry, Miguel de la Cerna, Jeremiah Hunt, Charles Heath IV, and Melody Angel. Also included is a frame dedicated to Otis Spann, with help from Johnny Iguana, Roosevelt Purfoy, Oscar, and others.
