The President of Universal Tone Management, Michael Vrionis, stated in a press release that the call to postpone the forthcoming concerts comes “out of an abundance of caution for the artist’s health.” He added, “Doctors have recommended that Mr. Santana gets rest to recuperate fully.”

This past weekend, Santana missed a concert on July 8 at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Ind., July 9 at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, and July 10 at American Family Insurance Amphitheater in Milwaukee, Wis. Additionally, forthcoming shows previously slated for July 12 in Rogers, Ark., July 15 in Dallas, and July 16 in Woodlands, Texas have been postponed.

Vrionis’s statement continued, “Carlos is doing well and is anxious to be back on stage soon.” He concluded, “Santana profoundly regrets these postponements of upcoming performances; but, his health is our number one concern. He is looking forward to seeing all of his fans very soon.”
