Brendan Bayliss has announced that his tradition of a holiday fundraiser will continue. The event will take place on December 19 and will return to Chicago’s Park West. As per years past, proceeds will benefit the People’s Music School, Chicago’s largest completely free music education program. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, October 23 at 10 AM CT.
Joining the Umphrey’s McGee guitarist and singer at Park West will be Duane Trucks, Allie Kral, Jen Hartswick, Jason Narducy, Paul Muldoon, Mike Racky and members of moe.
For many years Bayliss teamed with Jake Cinninger for this show but Umphrey’s and Cinninger parted ways back in July.
Umphrey’s is off until a three-night run New Year’s Eve run at the Odgen Theatre. Then the band will return to the road in mid-January.
Bayliss and UM keyboard Joel Cummins will play a pair of acoustic Midwest gigs at Whitestown, IN’s Moontown Brewing Company on November 5 and Peoria, IL’s Kenny’s Westside Pub on November 6, with a portion of proceeds from both shows going to the Cummins Educational Scholarships.
