Last night, at approximately 7:30 p.m. ET, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival cancelled the remainder of its 2025 event due to unexpected extreme weather conditions. After an earlier temporary pause in programming to see if the climate patterns would shift, the beloved Manchester, Tenn. festival announced the total cancellation with a message to its social channels.

“Today, the national weather service provided us with an updated forecast with significant and steady precipitation that will produce deteriorating camping and egress conditions in the coming days,” the festival’s post disclosed. “We are beyond gutted, but we must make the safest decision and cancel the remainder of Bonnaroo.”

The evacuation of camping areas at Great Stage Park began last night with parts of Outeroo, which the festival emphasized had been most adversely affected by early flooding and must be prioritized for safety, and continued into this morning. Bonnaroo will offer full refunds for single-day ticket holders for Friday, Saturday and Sunday and 75% reimbursement for four-day pass attendees, as Thursday’s presentation was unaffected by the weather.

Despite this disappointing turn for artists and fans alike, many are working to keep the party going with relocated and rescheduled performances in the Nashville, Tenn. area. The most notable of these shifted shows is the Superjam, the festival’s annual tradition of all-star collaborative themed shows, which will now stage at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville. Remi Wolf’s Insanely Fire 1970’s Pool Party Superjam will proceed at the Germantown stage tonight, June 14; while Geese, Gigi Perez, Grace Bowers, Mt. Joy, Royal Otis, Mark Foster, Hayley Williams and Maren Morris were previously listed as special guests at the festival, the current special guest lineup has not been confirmed.

Beyond the supergroup show, several individual acts from the weekend’s bill have booked make-up performances. Mt. Joy, who were scheduled to take the Which Stage on Saturday, will also meet their fans at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville with a one-night-only appearance on Monday, June 16; tickets are available now. EDM fans will have their pick of alternate plans, including RL Grime tonight at Barstool Nashville and What So Not, Levity, Inzo Music, ATLIENS and more tonight at The Pinnacle, and rock listeners can find Hot Mulligan tonight at Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge, Royal Otis tonight at Basement East and Jack’s Mannequin at Cannery Hall on Sunday, June 15. Finally, for now, fan-favorite pop singer-songwriter Natasha Bedingfield will perform at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on Sunday, June 15.

Up the coast, Swanzey, N.H.’s Northlands Music & Arts Festival has generously extended free admission to its parallel event this weekend. Bonnaroo wristband holders will be able to access performances tonight and tomorrow, June 14 and 15, from moe., Cory Wong, Umphrey’s McGee, Andy Frasco & The U.N., Soulive, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country and more. “We know how much heart and planning goes into attending a festival,” said Northlands Co-Founder Seth McNally. “We want to offer a welcoming space for fans to still have an epic weekend.” Learn more about Northlands at northlandslive.com

Bonnaroo began on Thursday, June 12, with performances from Marcus King, Luke Combs, Dom Dolla, Insane Clown Posse, Rebecca Black, TRACTORBEAM, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, The Lemon Twigs, Kitchen Dwellers and more. Its lineup for Friday, Saturday and Sunday would have included Justice, Tyler, The Creator, John Summit, Glass Animals, Olivia Rodrigo, Avril Lavigne, Hozier, Vampire Weekend and Queens of the Stone Age.

“We have put our hearts and souls into making this weekend the most special one of the year, and cannot express how crushed we are to have to make this decision,” Bonnaroo’s statement concluded. “Thank you in advance for your patience, your positivity and your unfailing Bonnaroovian spirit.”
