Blues Traveler with JJ Grey & Mofro at The Rooftoop at Pier 17 (A Gallery)

On Aug. 4, Blues Traveler teamed up with JJ Grey & Mofro for a New York City get-down at The Rooftop at Pier 17.
John Popper and company opened up their set with three songs related to the venue and NYC: “Manhattan Bridge,” “Dropping Some NYC” and “Freedom.”
The rest of BT’s set included blues classics like “Ball and Chain” (off the band’s forthcoming Traveler’s Blues tribute LP) and an encore cover of “La Grange” honoring ZZ Top’s late bassist Dusty Hill.
