Blues Traveler will perform as part of the 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade next month. The cherished annual event, which will bring together a range of entertainers, marching bands, celebrities and costumed characters, will route through New York City on Thursday, November 26 and air on NBC and Peacock from 8:30am-12pm. The parade’s full lineup will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
Though formed in Princeton, NJ, Blues Traveler first made their name in New York and have been celebrating their milestone 40th anniversary throughout the year. “We have been holding this in since April... but it is now time to proudly announce that Blues Traveler is going to be on our own float & participate in THE 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade,” harmonica player John Popper posted on social media, noting that his daughter would join them during the festivities. “What a way to wrap up our 40th year as a band!! We are indeed honored!!...& yes I got them to let Weezy on the float!”
Before then, Blues Traveler have one more 2026 date on the books. They will appear at Menlo Park, CA’s The Guild Theatre this evening.
