Last night, May 28, 2025, Jimmy Kimmel Live! hosted musical guests for a 90s-era revival courtesy of Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms, who merged classic hits from each of their catalogs into a medley that offered a glimpse into the bands’ co-headlining tour, which will begin at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo., on July 4. 

During the televised performance, the amalgamated ensemble delivered a mélange of Blues Traveler’s 1994 breakthrough hit, “Run-Around”–a song that peaked at No. 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and cemented their status as scene favorites–with Gin Blossoms’ own pre-aughts debut, New Miserable Experience, on “Hey Jealousy.” The latter reached No. 25 on the Hot 100 chart and also contributed to the band’s mainstream success.

The performance, which can be viewed below, preludes Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms’ impending 30+ stop summer tour with Spin Doctors. Members of all ensembles offered comments on their forthcoming itinerary, with John Popper of Blues Traveler emphasizing, “Getting to play with dear old friends like Gin Blossoms and the Spin Doctors is one of the great benefits of a touring career that spans almost four decades now.”

He continued, “These are exceptional players and performers, and they push us to play even harder. Everybody digs in and makes each other better. We are looking forward to a great year of music!” 

Robin Wilson of Gin Blossoms adds, “We have a long and colorful history with Spin Doctors, and have crossed paths with Blues Traveler many times. A lot of people have great memories with these three bands. It will be a really fun summer.”
