Peace Through Music: A Global Event for the Environment, a special global livestream debuted last night on the Playing For Change YouTube channel. The event featured over 200 artists from more than 35 countries who came together in support of a sustainable future. The fundraiser, produced by Playing For Change in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund, directed proceeds “to organizations that prioritize real-time solutions that facilitate environmental justice and sustainability, including Conservation International, American Rivers, World Wildlife Fund, REVERB, and the Playing For Change Foundation.”

Three of the performances appear below: “Colors” featuring Black Pumas, Slash and The Pocket Queen, “Queen Bee” featuring Taj Mahal, Ben Harper and Rosanne Cash and “Playing For Change” featuring Sara Bareilles, Chris Pierce and PFC Band.

Black Pumas tells Relix, “We were honored to be a part of the movement that is Playing for Change and we’re so excited about collaborating with PFC on “Colors” to make it a Song Around the World. It’s amazing to witness the power of music as a universal language.”
