The Black Crowes kicked off their 2026 touring schedule at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre on April 2. While the Crowes focused on performing their debut album, Shake Your Money Maker, when they reunited in 2019 and worked with a more limited setlist as they inched back into touring, they have gradually expanded their repertoire in recent years.

Yesterday, the ensemble kicked off their show with the debut of “Profane Prophecy,” a track off their new studio LP, A Pound of Feathers, which was released on March 13. Soon after, they band busted out “Movin’ On Down the Line,” a track from 2008’s Warpaint, for the first time since Dec. 7, 2013. Immediately after that, they performed another A Found of Feathers tune, “Pharmacy Chronicles,” for the first time.

However, the biggest surprise took place during The Black Crowes encore. After wrapping up their maon set with the hit “Remedy,” The Black Crowes unearthed their take on the Faces’ “Three Button Hand Me Down” for the first time since Dec. 13, 1990. According to Setlist.fm, the band only performed the First Step track two times 26 years ago, though they may have run through it a few times earlier on.

The Crowes’ tour of Australia continues today, with the group returning to the Forum for night two.
