Bettye LaVette Opens US Tour at The Blue Note (A Gallery)

Last night, Feb. 10, Bettye LaVette kicked off her long-awaited U.S. Tour with the opening night of a four-night eight-show run at Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City.
The show showcased songs from her 2020 album Blackbirds which was nominated for Best Contemporary Blues Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards. LaVette has tour dates scheduled around the U.S. through May 5, 2022, where she’ll perform at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
