This summer, Band of Horses and Dinosaur Jr will return to the classics on a new co-headline tour. From July 10 to Aug. 1, the alt-rock titans will trek across the East Coast and Midwest with 16 shared dates featuring full-album performances of two defining masterpieces: Band of Horses will revisit their 2006 debut Everything All the Time, while Dinosaur Jr. unearths 1993’s Where You Been, both of which are currently receiving expanded anniversary reissues.
Band of Horses and Dinosaur Jr. will begin their co-headline run with a set at Ulster Performing Arts Center in Kingston, N.Y., then head to New Haven, Conn.’s College Street Music Hall and Hammondsport, N.Y.’s Point of the Bluff Vineyards on the following evenings. The bands will truck down the coast to Richmond, Va. for a night at VA on July 14, then round out a Southeast run with engagements in Wilmington, N.C., Asheville, N.C., Atlanta, Knoxville, Knoxville, Tenn. and Birmingham, Ala. through July 21. After taking the stage at Louisville, Ky.’s Iroquois Amphitheater on July 22, the caravan will close out the tour with a six-show Midwest series, stopping in Fishers, Ind., Columbus, Ohio, St. Louis, Mo., Davenport, Iowa and West Des Moines, Iowa before a finale at Omaha, Neb.’s Astro Theater on Aug. 1.
