Today, Amazon Music shared that they’ll be streaming The LCD Soundsystem Holiday Special on Dec. 22. The innovative virtual event features LCD Soundsystem hot off the heels of their sold-out 20-show residency at Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Actor, comedian and writer Eric Wareheim (Tim & Eric) directs and stars in the special which also features a star-studded portraying the band in a ‘90s-style sitcom. Named for the 2007 LCD Soundsystem anthem, the All My Friends sitcom features Wareheim playing James Murphy, Christine Ko as Nancy Whang, Macaulay Culkin as Pat Mahoney, Tony Cavalero as Nick Millhiser, Cory Loykasek as Al Doyle, Aparna Nancherla as Abby Echiverri, Jon Daly as Tyler Pope, Rex Lee as LCD Soundsytems’ manager Brian Graf, Luenell as the band’s tour manager, and Eric’s puppet as Korey Richey.

“I’ve already conquered film, James has conquered music, but we have yet to conquer the sitcom—the HIGHEST form of art,” said Eric Wareheim in a press release. “We’ve been working on this project for 15 years, and for this show we’re unveiling a uniquely emotional perspective of the sitcom universe for the holidays—provided by one of the greatest bands of all time and my dear friends, LCD Soundsystem. I can’t believe Amazon Music is letting us do this.”

After the surreal sitcom, the real LCD Soundsystem will take to the stage and perform a career-spanning set-capped off with the first live performance of the band’s 2015 single, “Christmas Will Break Your Heart.”

“I am similarly stunned that someone let us do this,” added James Murphy. “At least we finally get to use our Korey puppet.”

The special event will air around the world to watch on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch and Prime Video at 6 p.m. PST/9 p.m. EST on Dec. 22.
