Alabama Shakes made their highly anticipated return to NYC last night at Radio City Music Hall, supporting I Must Be Dreaming, their first release in over eleven years. They were joined by opening act Hannah Cohen, who later returned to the stage to perform "Garden" from the new album.
The set opened with "Tea Time" and featured hits including "Sound & Color," "Gimme All Your Love," "Don't Want to Fight," and "Hold On." Lead singer Brittany Howard took a few moments to connect with the welcoming crowd, offering a reminder to remain faithful and hopeful before the band broke into "I Feel Hope Coming."
The performance seamlessly shifted between gentle, soulful moments and full-tilt rock, showcasing the incredible range of Howard's vocals and guitar work. The show closed with a funky, rollicking cover of Ms. Lauryn Hill's "Everything is Everything."
