After Goose: Flying Mojito Bros and The Breaks Set for New Orleans Late Nights
In front of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival’s imminent arrival, indie-groove masters known for their jamband backbone, Goose, will take the stage at the historic Saenger Theatre on Tuesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 22. In tandem with the forthcoming schedule, a late-night lineup forecasts independent performances from the DJ duo Flying Mojito Bros and an appearance from supergroup The Breaks.
Following the first night of Goose’s Saenger Theatre run, April 21, the Toulouse Theatre will bolster Flying Mojito Bros’ combination of “cosmic desert disco” and “outlaw house” selections. The UK pair have promised bright reimaginings of cuts from Grateful Dead, Santana, Talking Heads, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and others.
Music will continue after Goose’s Wednesday, April 22, concert when The Breaks–Stanton Moore, Eddie Roberts, and Robert Walter–cement their live sound. The all-star ensemble previously announced the impending release of their debut self-titled album and shared the first single off the record, “Hasheesh.” This show will give fans an early opportunity to unlock the capacity of The Breaks ahead of the record’s official arrival on Friday, May 1st, on the second Friday of Jazz Fest.
